On December 25, 2007, my parents gave me a pink camera for Christmas. It was really cute; I liked it a lot. I found myself taking pictures of absolutely everything; and when I say everything I mean everything (shoes, back-yard trees, flowers, bridges, candles, people, chairs, etc.). I began to realize how much fun I was having taking pictures and turned it into my number one hobby.
A few years past, and I was about to hit my senior year in high-school/home-school. People were constantly asking me things like, “what are you going to do after you graduate?” and “Are you going to go to college?” I never had an answer for those questions except for four simple, yet embarrassing words, ” I’m not sure yet”. I finally began to ask myself the same thing, “What am I going to do after I graduate??” I had no idea…I had no plan.
I started to think about possible career choices. I even Googled and compared their different salaries. However, I still couldn’t make up my mind. I prayed a simple prayer to God, asking him to show me what to do with my life and if college was even the place for me.
A little while passed, and he answered me saying that I should do what I enjoyed. I shouldn’t worry about what others think, or about what brings in the “most money”. I instantly knew what I enjoyed as well as loved. Photography. Yes, photography is exactly what I wanted to pursue. It was my gift and talent, and it still is.
So here I am now at 18 years old, and a 2012 homes school graduate. I won’t be attending an actual college at the moment, but I will be Clepping out of my general college subjects (I call this home-schooling college!). After I complete my Clepping goals, I will then attend Thomas Edison State College to earn my BA in photography.
So there you have it. God is my passion, photography is my gift, and home-schooling college is my goal. It doesn’t get any better than that! Well, at least not for now.
Anyways, I hope you all stick around to see all of my progressions in life! Just contact me or leave a comment if you have any thoughts or questions.
Thanks for stopping by!
